Corporate Communications

Corporate Communications

Corporate communications is the key to how investors, employees and the general public perceive a company. It is a set of actions involved in managing and carrying out all internal and external communications that are designed to create a favourable opinion among the stakeholders on which the company depends.

We help companies with corporate communications in the following areas:

Key Message Development

At some point during your search for investment capital, it’s likely that you will be in front of Institutional and Retail accounts. We will prepare you for these meetings by developing messages to deliver to investors and suggest initiatives to keep you on the leading edge of communication with your stakeholders.

We will also oversee all planning for conferences. This includes:

  • selecting a site for an event tailored to your company
  • arranging for banners and other graphics to be displayed at the event
  • preparing packages of information to distribute
  • preparing executives to speak at events and conferences

When needed, we will prepare conference call scripts and Q & A’s.

Writing and Editing News Releases

We will write, edit and distribute news releases and prepare any bilingual materials that are needed. We will also respond to inquiries.

Presentations

When pitching an investment community, we will review all materials necessary to deliver a positive message that will highlight the company’s strengths in a professional setting.

Fact Sheets

A corporate fact sheet is a one-page snapshot of your business and should be a part of your media kit. Your logo should go on the top of the page and include the following sections:

  • An overview telling who you are, what you do and why we should care (in no more than 5 sentences)
  • A list of your leadership that includes the CEO and key management personnel
  • A list of the company’s key products and services
  • A description of the key market segments the company services
  • The month and year or the year when the company was founded
  • Where the company headquarters are located
  • If the company is a start-up, list the funding amount and the investor(s)
  • A list of key benefits, up to 7 items
  • Contact information, including website, phone numbers, address, media contact and media contact’s email address and phone number

We will prepare all of this material for you and keep it updated, as needed. For more information on corporate communications, contact Karen Mate at karen.mate@capitalmarketsadvisory.ca.
